It is now almost winter and the bright fall colors have faded.  Most of the birds have migrated away for the winter.  Still, we found a Great Blue Heron posing near the shore in the late afternoon sun.  Here are a few more photos of the days shoot.  link

Last weekend we managed to slip away for a couple of hours at the Fort Worth Nature Center.  The fall colors were beginning to show and a great egret or two were posing as they fed.  I added a few photos to my Wildlife gallery from the day.  link

Yesterday was a dreary and overcast day, but we decided to visit the Nature Center to get out of the house and walk the dogs.  As we walked around, the gray sky did not make for that many attractive photos, but I came upon a spider spinning a web at the Bird Blind.  He appeared to be missing a couple of legs, but nonetheless provided an interesting subject. He gracefully climbed and spun in circles as he added more and more strands.  As we walked further, once we were under the canopy of trees, the light became more interesting and provided a few pictures of the trails.  Here are some photos from the days shoot.  Click on the photos to see a few more.

 

 

The clouds were beautiful on this warm summer day at the Fort Worth Nature Center.  My son and I visited the Greer Island area of the center in search of summer day images.  The links connect to a few of these in my Landscape Gallery.  link

My son and I were asked to exhibit photos at the Fort Worth Nature Center Hardwicke Interpretive Center as a part of their nature exhibition activities.   We are two of several photographers showing photos this year.  Here is my exhibit and photos.  My son will exhibit next month.   link

Here are some photos from this morning at the Fort Worth Nature Center.  I have been working on scenery shots at the Center for several weeks now and these are a few shots that have been added to the Landscape Gallery.  In addition  I captured a couple more dragonfly images.  These were added to the Wildlife Gallery.

 

 

 

 

 

Met with my son, my daughter and one of her friends on Sunday morning at the Fort Worth Nature Center.  Here are a few images I made.   These were taken along Crosstimbers Trail and at the Marsh Boardwalk area.

I have been wanting to get out to the Fort Worth Nature Center when they open in the morning at 7am for some time now.  I finally managed to get there this morning.  The sun was already starting to rise but the golden colors were still hanging around.  The air was still and moist with temperature around 75 degrees.   Here are some images I made this morning at the Marsh Boardwalk area.  These three and a few more have been added to my Fort Worth Nature Center Landscapes gallery.  link

It had been raining late Sunday afternoon and we wanted to get out to enjoy the cooler air at the nature center.  The marsh boardwalk allowed us to walk around without too much mud and we managed to capture some images of the cloud covered scenery that was still wet from the rains.  I added a few of these to the Fort Worth Nature Center Scenery gallery.  link

   The Egrets were active on this warm  afternoon in May.  We were able to catch a Snowy Egret, a Great Egret, and a number of Cattle Egrets that afternoon.  All were posing as if to invite us to take some pictures.  I added these and a few others to my FWNC Wildlife Gallery.  link
